Double-Checking

 

Caller: I was calling to check on the status of my refund.

Me: OK, it looks like you cancelled the service on the 3rd. It takes 3-6 business days for the refund to be posted into your account. With the 4th of July last week, the refund should be posted no later than the 12th.

Caller: Wait, the 12th!? What happened to the 10th like my cancellation email said?

WIDTS: No, YOU wait. Today is the 9th, and you are calling to check on a refund that has an approximate refund date of tomorrow? Due to the “Stupid Question” clause in the agreement you signed, we now get to hold your funds for an extra week.
