Me(calling for troubleshooting help on my mobile phone): It appears that I can’t receive text messages on my phone. I can send them and I know they are getting to where they need to go, but I can’t receive them.

Phone Rep: Can you send text messages?

Me: (biting my tongue) Yes

Phone Rep: Can you make or receive calls?

Me: Well, I’m talking to you on my phone, so…

Phone Rep: So you can’t make or receive calls, sir.

WIDTS: OK, we’ll go with that as long as I can assume you are going to be fired mid-call. Can I just say, as an experienced customer service rep and an intelligent human being, how offensive it truly is to talk to you?
