Caller: I am waiting for this $29.95 credit you all supposed to be sending back to me. I need it yesterday.
Me: I understand the money has not made it back to your account and it must be difficult for you. However, it can take up to 10 business days, and as of today, it has only been 5. The money should be in your account no later than a week from today.
Caller: No, what you don’t understand is that without that $29.95, I cannot feed my 8 kids. You’re breaking me, man.
WIDTS: I’m sorry, but I do understand. If you’re in a position where $30 is going to “break you”, you’re already broken, ma’am. Although, it appears your welfare generation machine is working just fine.
